Christmas at The Parsons Lodge

Earlier this month, Chris and I hosted a fun drop-in event at our little cabin rental home to commemorate an awesome first year of Rachel Parsons Photography. We invited the 30 some odd amazing clients who I’ve had the privilege of working with over this past year out to The Parsons Lodge for a morning of holiday cheer. I took Christmas photos on our porch for everyone who dropped by, and we enjoyed catching up with some of my “Rachel Parsons Photography OG’s.” As our days at The Parsons Lodge are dwindling (we move later this month!) it’s been extra sentimental to open our home to family and friends a few more times (and to host some sessions here, which I’ll share soon!). The families who trusted me to commemorate significant moments in their lives during this first year of my business will always hold a special place in my heart, as will this sweet morning.

I didn’t want to feel glued to my camera all morning capturing candids, so our sweet neighbor friend Rachel of Rachel Janella Studios came out and captured some footage of the event. You can see the beautiful video that she made here!

I’m thankful that we were able to host this before moving out of our little cabin, and, even though our new house isn’t nearly this cute, I’m looking forward to finding more ways to love on and spoil my amazing clients in the years to come.
