Goodman Family | Christmas 2017

So in the midst of wrapping up busy season and getting ready for a big move AND Christmas, I’ve gotten so behind on blogging. BUT I have so many adorable, Christmassy sessions that just have to be shared, so get ready for a few blog posts over the next couple of days as we count down to Christmas. 😉 Today I’m kicking things off with this adorable family!

Gena was one of my first friends that I made in 12 Stone‘s college ministry when I moved back to Gwinnett before my sophomore year of college in 2010. Since then, we’ve gone through seasons where we’ve seen one another nearly every day and others where adult life’s consumed our time and we’ve gone months without talking, but she’s one of those friends (the BEST kind) where, no matter how long we may go without seeing one another, we can always pick up right where we left off. It’s been so much fun this year getting to capture both her maternity pictures in the spring and some newborn portraits of sweet little Jase this past summer. Of course, I was thrilled at the opportunity to take her sweet little family’s Christmas photos. Enjoy a few of my favorites from their session!

The photos with the Christmas lights were Gena’s idea, and they turned out SO.CUTE. I may just have to print this next one for my office.

Gena’s always been very cute and fashionable, so (whether these were conscious decisions of hers or not) here’s a few things I loved about the way Gena coordinated their outfits. 1) Neutral, muted tones photograph beautifully because they’re not super distracting to the eye; I especially love David’s taupe-y shirt. 2) Having her hubby in jeans and her in black pants provides for a nice contrast when they’re side-by-side. 3) I liked how all of her necklaces add some nice interest to her outfit. 4) Jase’s little red pants provide the cutest pop of color, especially in the pictures with the Christmas lights.

I’ll also throw out that Gena’s a LipSense distributor. If you haven’t checked out LipSense and SeneGence products yet, they’re pretty amazing. You can check out her Insta page here and her Facebook group here.

I hope you enjoyed this sweet little family session! Be on the lookout for a couple more coming over the next few days. ????????
